Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie
I absolutely love smoothies!! they’re one of my favorite breakfast items….except I made this one for my lunch today. i really like the oatmeal in it, but think that 1/2 a cup may be a little an excessive amount. I used quick-cooking oats since that is what I normally wear hand and substituted a container of strawberry yogurt for the strawberries. I even have not been ready to find an honest batch of strawberries yet this year. they’re not sweet for a few reasons, so I’m a touch hesitant to shop for them. Anyway, the oatmeal made this smoothie VERY filling, and that I too omitted the vanilla and sugar since I used vanilla flavored soy milk.
- 2 cup soy milk
- A cup rolled oats
- 2 banana, broken into chunks
- 28 frozen strawberries
- A teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoons white sugar
Combine all soy milk, oats, banana, and strawberries in a blender. Plus, add vanilla and sugar if desired.
Now you have to blend them until smooth.
