Triple Berry Kiwi Smoothie2017-03-29
One of the most amazing and valuable fruits that you can ever eat is a kiwi. If you think that you need more Vitamin C in your diet, then you will be happy to know that a kiwi contains five times the total Vitamin C content of a lemon. Amazing, isn’t it? Not only that, but it also contains twenty different nutrients.
Did you know that at the same time, a kiwi contains double the amount of Vitamin E than an avocado, with almost half the fatty content?
It is also rich in copper, which is especially good for growing children as it helps develop their circulatory system and at the same time, fights off colds, flus, and infections of various sorts. That is why today we bring you a very simple kiwi smoothie recipe that also has the added boost of three different kinds of berries.
- Kiwi fruits: 2, peeled and cut
- Frozen raspberries: ¾ cup
- Frozen blueberries: ½ cup
- Frozen strawberries: 1 cup
- Orange juice: 1 cup
There is just one step in this recipe. Simply put all of the ingredients in the mixer together. Wait for a little while for the frozen barriers to melt, or else you will get chunky clumps in the smoothie. Then simply blitz then for three minutes.
Pour it out in a glass and place a few pieces of cut berries and kiwi on top to add a little pizzazz. Serve while it is still cold.
So the next time you or your kid feels peckish in the summer, you know what to do. Of course, you can always use fresh berries. In fact, we suggest that you use them fresh if you can get your hands on them. At the same time, you can use any kind of berries that catch your fancy.
